On December 5, 2018, ROBLOX released their first Steam game "ROBLOX On Ice", developed by user SamoDaCar. In early 2017, ROBLOX released a YouTube channel. The channel features animated shorts of the game "Abobo's Big Adventure", a reboot of the popular war series "Abobo's Big Adventure". In July 2017, ROBLOX released its second YouTube channel called Roblox Top Model. It came with a new show and it was announced that they were coming out with more shows in the future. ROBLOX's Twitch page was created on April 4th, 2016. So far, ROBLOX has streamed various games and have gained a moderate amount of followers: on April 26th, 2016 one month after the page was created, ROBLOX had 6,200 followers.[13] On October 24th, 2017 exactly one year later, they gained 36,000 followers.[14] Their most viewed stream is "High School Life," which so far has gotten over 2 million views.[15] The same video even got 6.7k upvotes.[16]

According to the ROBLOX website, there are over 15 million registered and active players. Like many other usergenerated content sites for young children, ROBLOX encourages users to be safe and responsible on its site. It also has a moderation system that allows members of the community to report profiles and comments that may be inappropriate or offensive. Parents can also choose what games their kids can play, or even disable chat so other players can't talk to their child. ROBLOX has also introduced a new feature called "Guardians" which works like parental controls on most software. It allows players to set a game rating they are comfortable with, so that they can choose between games.

On July 11, 2018, the "Custom Games" section of the website was temporarily removed due to a bug that caused players to be unable to see their own creations. The section was returned later that day.

The CEO of Roblox is David Baszucki, also known as "Devdog". He made his first 1 million by using a stock option from a company that he had worked at called Original Media. He was fired from the company for not coming up with any new products despite having achieved success in the existing ones. After this, he started to work on ROBLOX alongside his friend Owen Hill. Although Roblox was founded only in 2009, they had already made their first 1 million by 2013.
